History of the Association
 

The Cambridgeshire Hockey Association was established following the Annual General Meetings of the Cambridgeshire Women’s Hockey Association (CWHA) on 18th May 1999 and the Cambridgeshire County Hockey Association (CCHA) on 24th May 1999 at which the following steps were agreed:

  1. The Cambridgeshire Women’s Hockey Association (CWHA) and Cambridgeshire County Hockey Association (CCHA) agreed the creation of The Cambridgeshire Hockey Association, from 1st June 1999.

  2. CWHA and CCHA agreed the dissolution of their Associations, from 1st August 1999, and the transfer of all remaining assets to The Cambridgeshire Hockey Association.

  3. The election of Officers of the CWHA (Hon President, Chairman, Vice-Chairman, Hon Secretary, Hon Treasurer) and CCHA (President, Captain, Hon Secretary, Hon Treasurer, Hon Match Secretary) to represent the interests of the members of their Association until dissolution

  4. CWHA and CCHA approved the Rules of The Cambridgeshire Hockey Association.

  5. Representatives were elected to serve as members of the Management Group of The Cambridgeshire Hockey Association from 1st June 1999.

  6. The following policies were adopted:

  • Approval of affiliation fees annually

  • Adoption of a Sport Equity policy - ‘That Cambridgeshire Hockey shall take positive steps to ensure that Sports Equity is a fundamental and integral part of our work and to seek to ensure that membership is fully aware of and takes appropriate action to implement this objective’

  • Approval for the Management Group to agree colours and logo for Cambridgeshire Hockey

  • Approval that all Vice Presidents of the CWHA and CCHA become Honorary Members of The Cambridgeshire Hockey Association
